Easter Home Decor – Spring Decor Ideas and some lovely Amazon Finds

easter home decor

For me, Easter home decor means skipping bright colours, pastels, and plastic eggs and avoiding anything themey! I love giving my home a Spring refresh with bulbs and lighter touches to shake off that winter hibernation feeling.

In the UK, the clocks go forward at 1am on the last Sunday of March, kicking off British Summer Time. That extra daylight? It’s my cue to crawl out of winter hibernation and finally lighten things up; both in mood and home decor!

Here are my eight easy Spring decor ideas to shake off winter! Modern Easter home decor is all about effortless elegance, natural elements, and a simplified approach. It’s my go-to strategy for creating a fresh and stylish spring aesthetic in your home.

Our curated Amazon finds for Easter Home Decor are here if you want to jump to them!

Easter Spring Decor: Simple Ways to Brighten Your Home

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your home with light, airy decor that embraces the new season. Whether you’re looking for April home decor ideas, Easter decorating inspiration, or simply want to brighten and refresh, these tips will help you achieve a lovely Spring aesthetic home decor.

1. Refresh with a Lighter Colour Palette
2. INCORPORATE FRESH FLOWERS + GREENERY
3. declutter + swap furniture around for fresh energy
4. add natural elements for a fresher feel
5. use citrus and light herbal scents
6. refresh your entryway or hallway
7. have a shelfie refresh and restyle mantles and console tables
8. spring and easter table settings

EASTER BEDROOM DECOR

a lighter colour palette

1. Refresh with a Lighter Colour Palette

I always start with cushions and throws—it’s the easiest way to shift my home from winter to spring. Swapping out the heavier fabrics and more muted winter tones for lighter colours, soft whites, and nature-inspired hues. I don’t go as far as repainting an entire room (who has the energy for that?), but sometimes, a coat of paint on a door or a favourite piece of furniture is all it takes to make a space feel fresher.

Trade thick fleece or knitted throws for lightweight blankets. Spring is my cue to wash the slipcovers on my sofa. I love light coloured or striped cotton kantha throws for their airy feel (especially as I have dogs). This simple change makes your home feel lighter and ready for the warmer months. And when it comes to patterns, I can’t resist classic stripes and ticking in soft blues and pale shades—they instantly bring that fresh, airy spring vibe into my home.

flowers and fresh greenery

2. INCORPORATE FRESH FLOWERS + GREENERY

Nothing says spring quite like fresh daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, and bulbs! Luckily, they’re affordable, and if you go for bulbs instead of cut flowers, they last even longer. Right now, I have little jugs of daffodils dotted all over the house—it’s such a simple way to bring in that burst of spring colour. I love pairing them with rosemary plants and fresh greenery for a natural, effortless look. Birch twigs (especially if you’ve foraged them yourself!) look beautiful in vases alongside daffodils, and they’re great for crafting too—twist them into little nests (or use shallow baskets see my Amazon finds below!) for an easy yet gorgeous centrepiece.

Easter Home Decor

declutter for fresh energy!

3. declutter + swap furniture around for fresh energy

Spring cleaning isn’t just about tidying up—it’s about creating a fresh, open environment. I like to clear out unnecessary items, pack away anything that feels too heavy for the season, and swap in lighter, more seasonal decor. For instance, I will pack away my rust-toned candles and opt for a pale yellow or a lovely green.

Sometimes, just moving furniture around can completely change the energy of a room! I’ll shift a chair to a sunnier spot, swap a side table for something airier (or even move it altogether) or restyle a shelf with a few Spring-inspired pieces. It’s amazing how these little tweaks can make everything feel new again without spending a penny.

add natural elements

4. add natural elements for a fresher feel

Bringing in natural textures is one of my favorite ways to refresh my home for spring.

A simple swap, like trading a tired lampshade for a rattan one, instantly adds warmth and a laid-back feel. Seagrass trays and rattan picture frames bring in that fresh, coastal vibe, while baskets filled with bulbs add a touch of life to any space.

I love filling wooden bowls with decorative eggs for a subtle Easter touch, and if I’m feeling like a bigger change, a natural fibre rug instantly makes a room feel lighter and more relaxed. It’s all about those little swaps that make a big difference!

use citrus and herbal scents

5. use citrus and light herbal scents

Nothing lifts the mood of a space quite like scent, and for spring, I always gravitate towards crisp, citrusy notes like lemon, grapefruit, and my absolute favorite—bergamot. Clean scents like sea salt or cotton give that fresh laundry feel, which instantly makes a home feel lighter and airier.

Every morning, I pop a few drops of organic essential oil into my diffuser to set the tone for the day—it’s such a simple ritual but makes a huge difference. I also love treating myself to a new candle or a linen spray to spritz over soft furnishings.

Fresh pots of rosemary and herbs not only look lovely but smell amazing too. If you want a real fragrance boost, hyacinths are the way to go—they fill a whole room with their gorgeous scent!

Easter Home Decor

refresh your entryway or hallway

6. refresh your entryway or hallway

Your entryway sets the tone for your whole home, so I love giving it a little Spring refresh. A simple Easter door hanger—like a basket of fresh flowers or a pretty spring wreath—instantly makes things feel more welcoming.

A new doormat is an easy swap, and a large mirror can work wonders for bouncing light around—if you already have one, give it a good clean so it really sparkles. I always add a jug of daffodils or tulips on a console table for that first hit of spring color when I walk in.

Add a lovely new basket for shoes or umbrellas (April showers are coming!) helps keep things tidy, and if there’s space, add a small bench or chair. You could also add a lightweight cushion—I’m loving gingham at the moment, which is perfect for Spring in so many lovely light colourways!

style up shelves, mantles and console tables

7. have a shelfie refresh and restyle mantles and console tables

Shelves and mantels are the perfect spots for a little seasonal refresh, and Spring is the time to lighten things up.

First, I always start with a good clean-down—dusting off winter and making space for a fresher look. I love using books with pale or neutral-colored spines to create a soft, airy base, then layering in pale ceramics, rattan boxes, and larger statement pieces like coral or marble accents.

Rechargeable mini lamps add a lovely warm glow in the evenings, and of course, no Spring styling is complete without some potted bulbs for a touch of life. And for a little Easter fun? A bowl of mini eggs never goes amiss—though in my house, they don’t last long!

spring table scapes

8. spring and easter table settings

Setting the table for spring is one of my favourite things—it’s the perfect excuse to mix fresh, pretty details with a relaxed, effortless vibe.

Floral napkins and tablecloths instantly brighten things up, but I always pair them with plain white crockery to keep it feeling collected and not too granny’s attic (think cool cottage-core instead!). Gingham and stripes in soft yellows and greens bring that fresh spring feel, and whimsical candle holders—like the bunny one I’ve linked below—add a playful touch.

For a centrepiece, I love using a shallow basket or a long wooden trug filled with spring bulbs, birch branches, and moss. For something simpler, try a few glass vases with blossom branches to create the perfect springtime look. Jute chargers add a lovely natural texture, and I can never resist a bit of coloured glassware—green glass is my current obsession!

Extra Easter Decorating Ideas for Every Room

Easter Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home, so I love giving it a little seasonal refresh for spring!

If you have a kitchen island, it’s the perfect spot for a larger arrangement—think a big jug of blossom branches or a basket filled with spring bulbs and moss for a natural, just-gathered look.

Swapping out tea towels is such an easy update, and I love large checks and gingham in fresh greens or neutral taupes. Fun mugs, plates or egg cups are another simple way to add a little Easter charm—perfect for a relaxed spring breakfast.

Woven placemats bring in that lovely natural texture, and of course, no kitchen refresh is complete without a beautiful candle. Herb fragrances like Rosemary and Sage make the whole space smell fresh and inviting!

bathroom easter decor

Even the bathroom deserves a Spring refresh!

I like to add fun striped or checked hand towels in fresh, light colors—they instantly make the space feel fresh.

A new diffuser oil or candle with an ocean-inspired scent, like Sea Salt, brings that clean, breezy feel (because let’s be honest, a bathroom needs to smell good!). One of my favorite upgrades? Decanting hand soap into a glass or ceramic bottle—It’s a tiny detail, but it instantly adds homey character.

easter bedroom decor

A few simple changes can make a bedroom feel instantly ready for a new season.

I love mixing floral pillowcases with striped flat sheets—it’s an effortless combo that looks so good together.

A large basket with a beautiful tree or leafy plant adds a touch of life, and for scent, I go for something light and calming, like vetiver or green tea for that fresh “just after the rain” fragrance. A lighter cotton bed throw is a must—it keeps things cozy but with an airy, Spring-ready feel!
