Hi, I’m Charlotte, the Creative behind Tin Coast Life, an Interior Design Studio, Holiday Letting business, Online Coastal Design Shop and a Coastal Blog. I moved to Cornwall over 10 years ago and love living by the sea! I’m a mum of three older children, an Interior Designer, a shop owner, a dog mum to two toy poodles and a content creator. Originally from Manchester, I lived for a long time in London and a shorter time in France, but Cornwall has my heart.

I run an interior design studio offering two flexible ways to work together: Virtual Interior Design and Zoom Consultations. Our style blends English country coastal with Scandi simplicity—favouring classic, natural materials, soft neutral tones, and thoughtfully designed spaces that feel relaxed, lived-in, and hard to leave. We’ve recently taken on an exciting new project—a big old Edwardian house in a neighbouring coastal village, full of character and potential which we’re in the middle of renovating. It’s already home to one of our holiday lets, Stamping Cottage, a sweet little annex that’s now available to book alongside our much-loved Georgian Flat in Penzance. There’s also a nineteenth-century barn on site—one for later in the year, so stay tuned!

I founded our Coastal Interiors Shop and Interior Design Studio, Tin Coast Design in 2018 in Penzance, Cornwall. It’s been fantastic to have a shop near to where we live and especially within a 30-second walk to Penzance prom and sea swims! In 2019, I launched our e-commerce business: See Tin Coast Design’s online shop here.

about our holiday cottages

We have two Holiday Cottages in west Cornwall. Stamping Cottage is part of a large country property between Penzance and St Ives sleeping 2. The Georgian Flat is a town centre apartment in Penzance sleeping 5 with parking and a large garden. Tin Barn, our nineteenth century little barn is coming soon!
