Iโ€™m still convalescing but I thought a bit of a re Iโ€™m still convalescing but I thought a bit of a rejig of my shelves would be ok and not too strenuous!  Remember if youโ€™re shelf styling to firstly take everything off, clean and then donโ€™t feel you have to put everything back.  Have a switch around and most importantly display things you really love not props!  And deffo add flowers ๐ŸŒบ  Also this song because of the fab Kylie documentary I just watched, have you seen it?

Built for about 18 degrees and a cardigan reallyโ€ฆ mostly surviving on sea swims, iced coffees and hiding indoors in the afternoons lol.
Holiday stays in Cornwall, interiors, constant red Holiday stays in Cornwall, interiors, constant redesigning, coastal things, baskets everywhere, poodle supervision and me moving flowers around the house.  Thatโ€™s us ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ
We first renovated this bathroom nearly 10 years a We first renovated this bathroom nearly 10 years ago in a bit of a hurry and at the time it did the job perfectly wellโ€ฆ but over time it started feeling a little cold and not really in keeping with the rest of the house anymore.
Instead of completely starting again, we slowly updated the bits that werenโ€™t really working โ€” a huge shower instead of the bath, softer whites, more coastal shiplap, scalloped marble, a new window and lots of smaller details that made it feel warmer and more us.
We actually kept loads too โ€” the old washstand, mirror, lights, taps, shower, towel rail and floor tiles all stayed ๐Ÿค

Honestly enjoying Instagram so much more again now Iโ€™m just sharing the things I naturally photograph during the day instead of trying to make everything feel like โ€œcontentโ€ lol. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ
My kitchen took a bit of figuring out ๐Ÿ™ƒ the slopes My kitchen took a bit of figuring out ๐Ÿ™ƒ the slopes made it hard as thereโ€™s no room for upper cabinets, shelves or even rails.  Played around with lighting levels and layered texture and pattern.  Everything is temporary lol and thereโ€™s more Iโ€™d like to do but I love it!  Ps I needed the big sink for poodle baths and they love it ๐Ÿ˜‚

I love it when I have time to get my sewing machin I love it when I have time to get my sewing machine out and throw myself into a project.  I bought this gorgeous @bennisonfabricsuk fabric so long ago - I just had enough for a cushion and then what else to do with the leftover scraps than to make sails for a little boat Iโ€™ve had for years!

This photo is taken from the bathtub in my bedroom (๐Ÿ˜‚) with St Michaelโ€™s Mount in the background.  I feel like sheโ€™s happy being able to see the sea!  I thought about lining the sails but Iโ€™m so glad I didnโ€™t, I love how the light comes through.
This little cabin room is one of my favourite spac This little cabin room is one of my favourite spaces in The Georgian Flatโ€ฆ ๐Ÿค. Itโ€™s tucked away and always feels peaceful and calm.  Itโ€™s just like sleeping on a cute ship but without the seasickness ha ha. 

There are two large king bedrooms in addition to this extra cabin room, so it works really well for families or a small group by the sea.

The best girl in the world should probably be sitting on a blanket though ๐Ÿ™ƒ  We are all spruced up for the new season - the perfect base for exploring west Cornwall. A tiny ensuiteโ€ฆ just 165 x 145 with sloping ceili A tiny ensuiteโ€ฆ  just 165 x 145 with sloping ceilings thrown in!  The layout more or less designed itself. The shower sits where the ceiling is highest, and there was only room for the loo and basin to be opposite each other. 
I kept the palette soft and layered in texture โ€” tiles, marble, wood, brass โ€” which gives the space warmth and depth.
If youโ€™re working with a small or awkward room, this is your reminder that it can still feel really lovely and elevated with the right layout and materials ๐Ÿค

Iโ€™m constantly rearranging (as stress relief ha ha Iโ€™m constantly rearranging (as stress relief ha ha) so Iโ€™ve added a few little spring layers in hereโ€ฆ keeping it simple with soft coastal colours but with a lot of texture to keep it all interesting.  Thereโ€™s 2 kinds of rattan, a touch of brass, some warm terracottaโ€ฆ and then Iโ€™ve mixed in a few patterns, Iโ€™m obsessed with this chocolate spotted jug with the delicate print of my GP and J Baker lampshade.

Alsoโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve had this chest of drawers for years. It came painted in this soft blue, but I keep thinking about stripping it back to pine ๐Ÿค
I canโ€™t decide if thatโ€™s a really good idea or one Iโ€™d regret ๐Ÿ™ƒ

This little shower room sits up in the attic with sloping ceilings, so the layout more or less designed itself. The shower had to go where the ceiling was highest, the basin had to be narrow, and everything else squeezed in around it. Tiny rooms definitely keep you on your toes ๐Ÿ˜…
I went for pale textured tiles, penny marble on the floor, brushed brass fittings and a simple rectangular sink thatโ€™s actually surprisingly practical.
The style is what Iโ€™d call Scandi country, soft colours, clean lines and lots of texture.
Itโ€™s a good reminder that even the tiniest spaces can have loads of character and warmth when you layer materials and keep the palette calm.

I finally got around to adding a little cafรฉ curta I finally got around to adding a little cafรฉ curtain in the kitchen and Iโ€™m so glad I did. I used a telescopic shower rail (from Screwfix!) with a leftover curtain panel, which made it such an easy, no-drill update.
The hem is still pinned at the moment ๐Ÿ˜‚, but I already love how much softer the window feels while keeping all the natural light. Itโ€™s one of those small changes that makes the whole space feel more finished.
