Virtual Interior Design
How much do you charge for Virtual Interior Design?
All rooms are a flat fee of £650.00 excluding kitchens and bathrooms. Bathrooms start from £850 and kitchens from £1200. Please email us to discuss and we can price accordingly. The 30 minute Design Discovery Call is included in this fee. Payment is taken at the time of booking.
Can you do site visits?
We are unable to offer site visits for Virtual Interior Design. We work from your photos, floor plans and sometimes videos.
How long is the process?
We allow for 3-4 weeks per room from booking to your final design. This may vary depending on the scope of your project. We will confirm timescales with you on our Design Discovery Call.
How should I prepare for our meeting?
After booking a slot for our 30 minute Design Discovery Call, we will ask you to complete our questionnaire which helps build a design profile for you and your space. You can share your room via photos and add a floor plan (if you have one) and show us any inspiration pictures. A Pinterest board showing what you have in mind is a nice to have but not essential!
What will I receive?
You will receive a virtual design board via email which includes shoppable links to all the items and a basic room layout. It also incorporates one round of revisions (for a maximum of 3 items on the design board). It will have everything you need design-wise for your room, ready for your implementation.
How many revisions can we make?
One round of revisions is included (for a maximum of 3 items on the design board).
Do you recommend contractors?
We are unable to vet or recommend contractors nor be in communication with them. Please do your own due diligence as we cannot be liable for any work that is undertaken.
Can we email follow up questions?
Once you have made any revisions and you have your Final Design we sign off from your project. If you would like to discuss this Design further then we can offer slots in a 30 minute increment for £60 or £120 for an hour.
Will items be in stock?
We endeavour to select items that are in stock. In order to avoid disappointment, please be ready to shop for your project from our design within 2 weeks.
Do you offer any discounts?
You will receive a one time discount code of 15% to spend at our shop either online or in store. We can also offer a discount on some paint ranges.
What kind of budget will I need?
Your budget will be dependent on many factors, for example, which room you would like help with, if you are going to keep any existing furniture, whether you are making any structural changes etc. Tin Coast Design focuses on making high-quality and durable recommendations for furniture, lighting, textiles etc. which will stand the test of time. Our questionnaire asks you about your budget and we can discuss how we can make the most out of it on our Design Discovery Call.
Why are Kitchens + Bathrooms charged differently?
The package and process is virtually the same as for other rooms, however, when designing kitchens and bathrooms you will need an accurate floor plan with dimensions and elevations for your contractor. We will need to give you elevations so that we can specify the heights and dimensions of sanitary ware etc. Please email us with your project details and we can calculate the work involved specifically for your room and price accordingly. Bathrooms start from £850 and kitchens from £1200.
We always recommend ordering fabric swatches and sampling paint colours in situ before making a final decision. We recommend measuring very carefully and taping off the measurements (for example for furniture) in the space before ordering. Design implementation is for you to organise with your own contractors. Tin Coast Design is not responsible for the outcome of your project.
