ribbon bows
I love a Christmas Bow and they are everywhere this year! For the last few Christmases, I’ve been tying bows to branches of my Christmas tree with velvet ribbon that I’ve bought reasonably cheaply from Amazon or Sostrene Grene, I’ve had sage green, copper (shown below) and this year will most likely be a claret red. I tie Christmas bows on ornaments, plant pots and wreathes too!
For a more rustic look, use gingham ribbon which feels lighter but looks just as decorative. My favourite is this Brown Gingham Check Ribbon here.

You can buy gorgeous Christmas Bows for your tree that either clip or tie on like these from Anthropologie, Mrs Alice and Cox&Cox :
Christmas bows for the table
These Bow napkin rings are the cutest, red velvet looks traditional and Mrs Alice also makes a tie on velvet bow which you can personalise, a lovely place marker and little gift for your guest to take home all in one! I particularly love the aged brass metal ones from Zara Home which I would pair with these linen napkins.
For a Holiday drinks or nibbles party, where things are less formal and I want to keep clearing up to the very minimum, I’m skipping cloth napkins altogether and going full on whimsical with these gorgeous paper bow napkins. So cute!
Christmas bows for the top of the tree
Lastly, there’s top spot! These bows are a bigger scale and a bit more sparkly. I would let them make a statement and forgo other bows on lower branches if you’re choosing one of these.
