A bijou suite in a quiet village near to St. Michael’s Mount, st ives + Penzance
Stamping Cottage is a cosy studio apartment tucked inside a grand Edwardian country house, in a quiet village just 5 miles from St Ives and Penzance. It is a five-minute drive to St Michael’s Mount. With lovely views onto a walled garden, this little retreat has its own private entrance and sleeps two guests in a king-sized bed; there’s an armchair for curling up with a book and a tiny but perfectly-formed shower room. Dog friendly!*
We are currently refurbishing Stamping Cottage, ready to welcome guests from 27th June 2025. As we progress, we’ll be adding more interior photographs to showcase the space. Designed by Tin Coast Design, the interiors have a relaxed English Coastal feel—think soft tones, natural textures, and a cosy coastal vibe. Our renovation should be finished very soon and we’ll add more pictures as work is completed. See our blog for our vision boards and design ideas.

The bedroom has a kingsize bed, comfy armchairs and the original window seat which looks on to the gravel garden.
The small shower room has a beautiful shower, basin, loo and heated towel rail with fluffy towels and luxury toiletries.
There is a little entrance hall with hooks and space for hanging coats and leaving wet boots! From the hall there is an internal door to the main house which is kept locked.
Stamping Studio has a bench and a cafe table and chairs for morning coffee or evening drinks. The garden is full of shrubs and trees and the beautiful old stone boundary wall. The interior has been beautifully designed by Tin Coast Design.
Stamping Studio includes a continental breakfast (when you direct book with us!**) with prices ranging from £840-£1155. There is a minimum two-night stay.
The nearest train station, St Erth, is about a 5 minute drive. There is dedicated parking space for both Stamping Studio and Tin Barn on a gated driveway. The village post office of Crowlas is a 5 minute walk and also sells basic local supermarket provisions. Ludgvan is about half way between Penzance and St Ives. St Michael’s Mount is a 5 minute drive.
We’re just 2 minutes from the Scilly Islands Park and Ride, making it super easy to hop over to the Isles of Scilly. And to start your day right, breakfast is available too!
A peaceful little hideaway, perfect for slowing down and soaking up the best of Cornwall.
