a traditional 19th century barn in the Cornish countryside
Tin Barn and Stamping Cottage are part of a large country house in the village of Ludgvan in south west Cornwall. Tin Barn is a small detached 19th century barn next to the main house which has been beautifully renovated with warm neutrals, natural linens and textured original beams. With a wood burner for cosy evenings, a freestanding bath and luxury touches, it makes a relaxing, cosy retreat for two people.

The barn is all on one level with beamed ceilings into the eaves. The bedroom with a kingsize bed has a luxury mattress, crisp linens and gorgeous throws and cushions. There is plenty of room to unpack plus a desk to sit at if you need to do some work remotely.
A lovely bathroom is ensuite, with a large walk-in shower and a freestanding bath. Underfloor heating throughout keeps you toasty and there’s a heated towel rail with fluffy towels.
The cosy farmhouse kitchen is well equipped with an oven, 5 ring induction hob, fridge and dishwasher with a little peninsula island to have meals at. An open plan layout leads to a sitting room with a cosy log burner which looks out on to the gravel garden.
At the back of the barn is an outdoor (hot!) shower with hooks for hanging wetsuits and swimwear. A little cafe table and chairs outside the kitchen is a sunny spot for morning coffee.
Tin Barn is nestled in a corner plot with large pots and a bench overlooking the garden with shrubs, trees and the beautiful old stone boundary wall. The interior has been thoughtfully designed by Tin Coast Design.
Hot tub hire can be arranged at an additional cost and subject to availability.
Tin Barn is let weekly on a self catered basis with prices ranging from £1100- £2450. We do offer short breaks and long weekends during off peak periods.
The nearest train station St Erth is about a 5 minute drive. There is dedicated parking space for both Stamping Studio and Tin Barn on a gated driveway. The village post office of Crowlas is a 5 minute walk and also sells basic local supermarket provisions. Ludgvan is about half way between Penzance and St Ives.
