Summer is on the way and I’m here for it! I can’t wait for longer lighter days and warmer breezes. It’s the time of year where our relaxed English coastal design really comes in to its own. This edit follows this shift with natural textures, soft stripes, sun-washed tones and pieces that layer beautifully together.

It’s that slightly sun-faded, Cozy Coastal Cottage feel I always come back to… works beautifully in Small Cottage Decor spaces and feels calm, unfussy and easy to live with. The kind of look that just settles in around you… windows open, a bit of a breeze drifting through, and nowhere you need to be (honestly my favourite kind of day lol).

I’ve spotted so many lovely spring accessories appearing in the shops lately… gorgeous scarves, beautiful leather belts, new sunglasses under £40, woven raffia bags and easy flats that feel far more appealing than wellies once the sun decides to show up. It all feels very Cornwall fashion to me — relaxed, cheerful and ready for a wander down to Cornwall beach or a slow coffee by the harbour.

Cornwall outfits – the base layer!

To make it simple, I’ve started with a base outfit that works in almost any weather… which is always a good thing in Cornwall (lol). White jeans and a classic white T-shirt create the starting point. Add a great belt, a scarf, a raffia bag and a pair of gorgeous flats and suddenly it feels like a proper Cornwall outfit.

Throw on a denim shirt and everything still works perfectly. Layer a couple of gold necklaces, pull on gingham socks for a pop of colour, or carry a huge striped beach bag and you’ve instantly created a whole collection of Cornwall outfit ideas from the same base.

The chunky fisherman’s cardigan changes the look again. Worn over just the T-shirt it keeps the outfit soft and monotone. Layered over the denim shirt it suddenly feels slightly fisherwoman chic, which is very much the Cornwall aesthetic. All the accessories below mix and match with this base, so you can create lots of easy Cornwall holiday outfits without packing half your wardrobe!

And while I don’t usually lean into anything too twee, I’ve made an exception for the rattan bunnies — a fun, light-hearted touch that feels especially lovely if you’ve got children or grandchildren about! I could pretend I spend winter swanning around in glamorous outfits… but honestly? I live in pjs. Give me soft pjs, fluffy socks, a cosy hoodie and I’m set. Most days you’ll find me in a cute lazy day outfit for home, wrapped in a blanket with a cup of tea, two poodles and if I’m feeling really fancy, a Baileys with ice! This is peak comfy-winter-outfits-lazy-days energy.

So here are the cosy lazy day outfits I actually wear: the pjs set aesthetic favourites, the winter pyjamas aesthetic pieces, and all the chill cosy outfits that make a cold lazy day feel borderline luxurious. Think lazy Sunday fits, comfy outfits for lazy homes, and just generally embracing the art of being snug.

This week’s Tin Coast Edit gives some autumn style inspiration! I’m specifically thinking that sweet spot between a muddy dog walk and a coffee run! Relaxed layers, soft knits, weather-proof boots and those pieces that make you feel instantly pulled together (even when you’re half running out the door).

My daily uniform is a navy jumper and jeans. This gorgeous navy cashmere is a gorgeous cropped shape and I love the rib on the sleeves and bottom. I’ll be adding one of these gorgeous bags in this season’s chocolate and burgundy. I’ve also got my eye on a new beanie and I’ll be swapping out my trainers for these oh so stylish retro beauties. Little swaps like that are such an easy way to lean into autumn style inspiration without overthinking it — just small changes that make your everyday uniform feel a bit more pulled together for the season.

This week’s Tin Coast Edit is all about autumn home finds and those small updates that give the house (and wardrobe) a bit of a cosy seasonal lift!

I LOVE this picture and it’s truly a bargain at under £50! It is a very generously sized framed canvas and has total Studio McGee vibes with its muted tones. Similarly, this little rattan lamp is a gorgeous shape and such a good price. I can’t resist a cosy cardigan — because honestly, a new knit always feels like the start of autumn. A new doormat instantly changes the energy of your home – I’m loving the fringing on this one! This is probably my most needed home refresh!

Most of this week’s home finds are currently marked down, so be quick! It’s a great time to do some early Christmas shopping (at least a few stocking fillers!)

This week’s Tin Coast Edit is all about autumn home decor and the cosy mood I’ve been leaning into lately. I’m feeling soft textures and warm tones. I’m doing a few little updates to give the house a seasonal refresh (hello, new sofa cushions!)

Chocolate brown feels like the colour of the moment. Rust and berry shades keep the palette a little lighter and a bit more playful. I’ve added a couple of my personal favourites too—the comfiest knickers you’ll ever wear (seriously, after trying these you won’t want any other brand!) and the perfect brown nail polish that’s as kind to your nails as it is chic.

I’ve slipped back into my favourite evening rituals now the days are shorter—running a hot bath, pulling on pyjamas, and curling up on the sofa with a chunky throw. It finally feels right to light candles again too, which always makes the house feel instantly warmer and more inviting. Autumn really is the season where little home comforts make the biggest difference.

This week is all about Autumn style! A fresh mini edit of interiors and style pieces I’ve found this week. I’m still resolutely wearing my sandals as I write this in mid-September but I know I’ll soon be back in cute trainers and extra layers.
